Randy was born and raised in rural southern Illinois. He moved to Missoula to study forestry at the University of Montana, where he earned his Ph.D., and then attended the University of Montana School of Law. After law school, Randy clerked for Judge Sidney R. Thomas, United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and Judge Donald W. Molloy, United States District Court for the District of Montana. He joined Boone Karlberg’s litigation and appellate practice in 2013. Randy has experience practicing in several areas of law, including personal injury, professional malpractice, commercial litigation, state and federal appeals, as well as pro bono matters. Randy and his wife, Jamie, a forensic scientist, have a daughter, Ada.
