Zach graduated from the University of Montana School of Journalism and spent two years covering the "Cops and Courts" beat for the Great Falls Tribune before returning to Missoula for law school. In law school, Zach was articles editor for the Montana Law Review and advanced to the American College of Trial Lawyers national championship competition. He volunteered at the Family Law Self Help Clinic and completed internships at Boone Karlberg and Montana Legal Services. Zach graduated with honors and then served as a law clerk to the Honorable Keith Strong, United States Magistrate Judge. Zach and his wife Allison are the proud parents of a baby girl.
