Dean was raised in Fort Benton, Montana, and graduated from Montana State University in 1980. After graduation, Dean was an account executive for AT&T for seven years. He then attended law school at The University of Montana, competing at the regional and national levels with the Moot Court and ATLA trial teams. Dean has been practicing law with Boone Karlberg since 1990. The primary focus of Dean’s practice is a blend of construction/commercial litigation and business-related transactions. Dean has prepared and tried cases in state and federal courts and has handled multiple appeals before the Montana Supreme Court. Dean and his wife, Kim, have three children. Dean is an avid outdoorsman with a recreational pursuit for each season Montana offers. He enjoys fishing, backpacking, mountaineering, hunting, and cross-country skiing.
