DEAN A. STENSLAND is a shareholder with Boone Karlberg where
he has practiced since 1990. His practice is a blend of
commercial
litigation and commercial real estate transactions. Dean’s
litigation experience includes employment, banking,
personal injury, construction and
commercial cases. In addition to his trial practice, Dean’s
practice emphasizes real estate, banking, creditor bankruptcy,
construction, employment and commercial law. He holds
a “BV” rating in the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory.
Dean's legal accomplishments have been recognized by his

Born in Fort Benton, Montana, Dean graduated with honors from
Montana State University in 1980 with a degree in Business
Management. Prior to attending law school, Dean worked for AT&T
Information Systems for seven years. Dean graduated, also with
honors, from the University of Montana School of Law in 1990,
joining Boone Karlberg that fall. During law school, Dean
competed at the regional and national level with the Moot Court
Team and Trial Team.
Dean is active in the Missoula YMCA (President of Board
of Directors), Missoula
Chamber of Commerce Rangers (past President) and his church
(past congregational President). Dean and his wife, Kim, have
three children. Dean is an avid outdoorsman with a recreational
pursuit for each season Montana offers. Dean enjoys backpacking,
climbing, fishing, hunting and cross-country skiing.
